From Tool & Die to Aerospace and Aviation Precision Engineering:
The Enduring Legacy of Value Tool & Engineering

Value Tool & Engineering, Inc. (VTE) in South Bend, Indiana is a company deeply intertwined in the evolution of precision machining. Founded in 1997, VTE began its journey as a traditional tool and die shop specializing in crafting high-quality tools and fixtures for the aerospace industry. Our focus on precision in quality quickly established us as a trusted partner within this demanding field.

Then VTE recognized the changing needs of our growing customer base and expanded our capabilities beyond tool and die making. Production machining capabilities were added to design and build aircraft ground support test equipment and related tools. And later to also manufacture the precision parts themselves. Then, after recognizing the growing importance of electronics in aviation and aerospace applications, VTE further diversified by establishing an electronics department. This comprehensive approach – encompassing design, manufacturing, and electronic integration – solidified VTE’s position as a one-stop shop for our clients in the aerospace and aviation sectors.
